Make stolen card data useless even if the leak source isn't found.
What to do
- Remove the old card from every saved-payment site, browser autofill and mobile wallet
- Re-add the new card to wallets only on devices you trust
- Turn on transaction alerts and lower the contactless / online limit if your issuer allows it
- Use virtual / single-use card numbers for online purchases (Privacy.com, Revolut, Apple Card, etc.)
- Check the credit report for new accounts opened with stolen card-linked data
