Claim Bank Reimbursement After an APP Scam

Reporting unlocks reimbursement schemes and feeds intelligence used to stop the same crew.

    What to do

      • UK: under PSR mandatory reimbursement (Oct 2024) most UK-to-UK APP fraud victims are eligible — submit in writing; report to Action Fraud
      • Australia: ask your bank about the Scam-Safe Accord; if refused, escalate to AFCA; report at scamwatch.gov.au and ReportCyber
      • USA: dispute under Reg E for any unauthorised portion; check Zelle/PayPal scam protections; file at IC3.gov and FTC.gov
      • If the scam impersonated a brand (your bank, ATO, HMRC, IRS), report it to that organisation directly
