      • Tighten privacy on the apps they used (DM-from-strangers off, profile not public)
      • Sign up for ScamSmart / Scamwatch / IC3 alerts for follow-up patterns
      • Rotate the email and phone-number you used to register on the scam platform
      • Expect 'recovery agent' approaches and never pay any up-front fee to recover stolen funds
