Freeze, Reverse and Recover from Bank Account Fraud

Speed is everything — most banks can recall fraudulent transfers if you call within an hour.

    What to do

      • Find the 24/7 fraud number on the back of your card or the bank's official website (do not Google it)
      • Tell them: 'My account is compromised — freeze all cards and online access immediately'
      • List every unrecognised transaction and ask them to start a fraud investigation
      • Ask them to attempt a recall on outgoing transfers and reverse pending card charges
      • Get a written incident reference number before hanging up
