Make QR codes safer to scan

    Preview before opening, and never enter credentials from a QR-launched page.

    QR codes hide the URL by design — that's their whole trick. The safe habit is to preview the URL before tapping and never enter sensitive details on a page launched from a code.

    Quick mental rule

    If the QR code wants you to log in, pay, or download something, close it and use the official app or bookmarked website instead.
