Voice clones can be made from a few seconds of audio scraped from social media. A shared word that's never been spoken publicly is the simplest defence.
Choosing a safe word
- Don't pick something obvious (pet name, kid's nickname)
- Pick something not in your social media or public posts
- Make it easy to remember under stress
