Romance scams follow a script — confirming that pattern makes the rest of recovery easier.
What to do
- Reverse-image-search their photos (TinEye, Google Images) — look for stolen model or military photos
- Note the script signs: never video-calls, lives/works abroad, sudden emergency, 'investment opportunity'
- Save every chat, voice note, photo and gift-card / wallet / bank detail they ever gave you
- List every payment: date, amount, method, recipient name and account or wallet
