    Confirm exactly what was taken before you call the issuer.

    What to do

      • Open the card app or web account and list every transaction you don't recognise
      • Check pending charges as well as posted ones — fraud often shows pending first
      • Note the merchant name, date, amount and any reference number
      • Check linked digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal) for the same card
      • Screenshot everything before the issuer freezes the view
