Before you start: Make sure you already have a Proton Mail account. If not, create one here. Confirm you can send and receive emails on your Proton address before proceeding.
Step 1: Open Instagram Account Settings
You can change your email from the Instagram mobile app or the web. Here's how:
- Open the Instagram app or go to instagram.com
- Go to your Profile and tap the Edit profile button
- Tap Personal information settings (or go to Settings → Accounts Center → Personal details)
- Under Contact info, tap your current email address
- Tap Add new email addressand enter your Proton Mail address
