Warning Signs Your TikTok Is Compromised
- Password no longer works
- Email or phone number changed
- Videos posted that you didn't create
- Your bio, profile picture, or username changed
- Followers receiving spam messages
- Unfamiliar accounts followed or accounts unfollowed
- Linked third-party accounts (Google, Facebook) changed
- TikTok coins or virtual gifts used without your knowledge
How to Check for Unauthorised Access
1. Review Your Devices
Go to Settings → Security → Your devices. Review logged-in devices and remove unfamiliar ones.
2. Check Security Alerts
Go to Settings → Security → Security alerts for login attempts and account changes.
3. Review Linked Accounts
Check Settings → Account → Linked accounts for unfamiliar social login connections.
Immediate Actions
- Change your password immediately
- Enable two-step verification
- Remove unfamiliar devices
- Unlink suspicious third-party accounts
- Verify your email and phone number
- Report to TikTok support
