Good to know
1. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Settings → Two-Factor Authentication
- Choose Authentication app (recommended) or SMS
- Generate and save a recovery code
2. Verify Contact Information
- Confirm your email and phone number in Settings
- Use a secure email only you access
3. Strengthen Your Password
- Use a unique password of at least 16 characters
- Never reuse elsewhere
- Use a password manager
4. Privacy Settings
- Set 'Who Can Contact Me' to 'Friends'
- Set 'Who Can View My Story' to 'Friends Only'
- Enable Ghost Mode on Snap Map
- Disable 'See Me in Quick Add'
- Review 'Connected Apps' and remove unused ones
5. Additional Security
- Enable login notifications
- Review your friends list regularly
- Be cautious of third-party Snapchat apps — they violate ToS and can steal your credentials
- Enable 'Memories' backup to save your snaps securely
