    Review and Revoke App Permissions

Untrusted apps might gain access to your personal information. Regularly check and revoke unnecessary permissions to enhance your privacy.
    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.
    3. Review categories like Photos, Microphone, Camera, and Location Services.
    4. Tap on each app listed and change its access to 'Never' or 'Ask Next Time Or When I Share' if you're unsure.

    Tip

Only grant permissions to apps you trust and that genuinely need them to function.

Check for and Remove Unknown Configuration Profiles

Configuration profiles can alter your iPhone's settings without your direct knowledge. These are sometimes installed by malicious apps or websites.
    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap General.
    3. Scroll down and tap VPN & Device Management.
    4. If you see any profiles you don't recognise, tap on them and then tap 'Remove Profile'.

    Important

Removing legitimate work or school profiles might affect your access to corporate resources.

    Reset Location & Privacy Settings

This action will reset all your location and privacy settings to their factory defaults, requiring apps to request access again.
    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Tap General.
    3. Scroll down and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.
    4. Tap Reset.
    5. Select 'Reset Location & Privacy'.

    Good to know

You will need to re-grant location and privacy permissions to trusted apps after this reset.

    Reset All Settings

If more targeted resets don't resolve the issue, you can reset all your iPhone's settings without erasing your content or data.
    1. Navigate to Settings.
    2. Tap General.
    3. Scroll down and select Transfer or Reset iPhone.
    4. Tap Reset.
    5. Choose 'Reset All Settings' and confirm with your passcode if prompted.

    Important

This will reset all your iPhone settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, Home Screen layout, and wallpaper, but your data will remain intact.
